Meditation from Early January

“So come in like a fire, come in like a flood, I don’t care what it looks like….” by Upperroom and Maverick City Worship, When I Lock Eyes With you

A reflection that came one day when I was playing this song again:

The blessings, gifts, laughs, and hard lessons you’ve poured onto my life,

those are your mercies //

Unexpected outcomes, failures, and obstacles

when I don’t think I can handle them at all

you give them to show me what I’m made of.

I was catching up on an online service (service en ligne) from Hillsong France this past Sunday, and one of the two worship songs they began with was Tu M’aimes. Their singing of it touched my heart– this song’s lines in particular:

“Tu m’aime, malgré mes circonstances et mes offenses tu m’aimes, au prix de ta vie et sans répit tu m’aimes… tu t’es offert bras grands ouverts. ” – Hillsong United, Tu M’aimes (You Love Me)
